Dear Mr. Denton:

The enclosed training materials are in response to Question 29 in the NRC's Request for Additional Information (31 Questions) dated October 30, 1985 (Log No. 1844), on the Davis-Besse Course of Action (COA) and the draft Safety Evaluation Report (SER), Draft NUREG-1177, dated January 29, 1986 (Log No. 1914). Toledo Edison responded to Log No. 1844 with Revision 4 to the COA (Serial No. 1182) and to Log No. 1914 with Serial No. 1242.

The enclosed training programs were not available at the time of those responses.

These training materials meet the commitment made in Revision 4 of the COA to submit the training programs for infrequent, critical and difficult tanks. Included in the this transmittal are:

1. EP 1202.01, RPS, SFAS, SFRCS Trip or S/G Tube Rupture COMMENT: See RES-OPS-002, RES-OPS-007, GOP-OLC-001-Att 36, and Practical Requirements Item No. 1 1
2. AB 1203.12, Serious Station Fire COMMENT: This procedure is currently being revised and deleted from the Course of Action Decument as required for Restart. Training will be conducted on the new procedure when revised.
3. AB 1203.03, Cooldown Without the BWST and No Offsite Power COMMENT: See RES-OPS-004 and Practical Requirement No. 3.0
4. AB 1203.10, Condensate Tube Leak COMMENT: C & MP currently relies on on-the-job training for placing condensate polishers in service. Training was provided in the past on condenser tube leak location.

Job / Task analysis is currently underway which will identify proper training requirements for these items.

5. AB 1203.14, Toxic Gas and Liquid Release COMMENT: See RES-OPS-006. RMT's currently receive training on Draeger Gas Analysis.
