Subject:

McGuireNuclearStationO Docket Nos. 5&369/370 ro Semi-Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report -

Pursuant to McGuire Technical Specification 6.9.1.7, attached is the Subject Report for the period of January, 1985 to June 1985.

As a result of radiation releases from McGuire Nuclear Station, no member of the public received an annual calculated dose exceeding those set forth in 40 CFR Part 190. This determination was made considering that there.are no other fuel cycle facilities nearby which would significantly increase the dose to any member of the public.

The Semi-Annual Effluent Release Report for the second half of 1984 (trans-mitted by letter of March 1, 1985) indicated that the McGuire Units 1 and 2 Ventilation Unit Condensate Drain Tank composite samplers were expected to be replaced and operable by July, 1985. Due to additional commitments, design and installation of the composite samplers was not possible. Current design projections indicate that this will be implemented during the fourth quarter of 1986, with completion by December 31, 1986.

Very truly yours, Hal B. Tucker l$
