INFORMAL REVIEW 0F A DIFFERING PROFESSIONAL OPINION (DPO) 1 1
Peter Crane, Counsel for Special Projects, has submitted a DP0 concerning the i NRC's position on the use of potassium iodide. Manual Chapter 4125 specifies that DP0s should be referred to the appropriate Office Director if they have not gone through the informal review process. This DP0 has not undergone the informal review orocess.
Based on discussions between NRR and AE0D staff, I am referring this concern to you for review in accordance with Manual Chapter 4125. AE0D will assist as needed in evaluating this matter. Moreover, you may also wish to consult with the NRC's Advisory Committee on Nuclear Medical Uses of Isotopes in your ,
