Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-219/85-15
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection by Messrs. W. Bateman
and J. Wechselberger from May 6 - June 2,1985, at the Oyster C_ reek Nuclear
Generating Station. The inspection consisted of document reviews, interviews,
and observations of activities as documented in the enclosed inspection report.
The findings were discussed with you and members of your staff at the conclu-
sion of the inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
We acknowledge receipt of your May 10, 1985 response to Violation 85-06-05
involving failure to establish system internal leakage tests as required by
paragraph 6.15 of Technical Specifications and your May 10 and 30, 1985
responses to Violation 85-06-01 concerning failure to perform a valve lineup
after Core Spray system modification. Your corrective actions will be reviewed
during future inspections.
This Inspection Report also summarizes the meeting held in Region I with mem-
bers of GPUN management to discuss GPUN's plans to address the concerns raised
during Inspection 85-14 involving GPUN's responses to NRC Bulletins 79-02 and
79-14.
