Re: ort of Interview Nuclear, Mississippi Power and Light pr&L), Suite 1000, Electric Building, Jackson, Mississippi, was interviewed concerning a September 23, 1983, meeting between MP&L and Region II, U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) officials.
At the meeting an MP&L letter, addressing discrepancies in the qualification cards for reactor operators at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS), allegedly intended to be presented to the NRC, was withdrawn by MP&L after they were informed by Region II officials tha't the discrepancies could constitute a material false statement.
He provided the following information:
' He does net recall attending a meeting on September 23, 19E3, between MP&L and Regien II, NRC, officials nor does he recall any discussions with his staff relative to an MP&L letter to the NRC concerning discrepancies in the qualification cards for reactor operators at GGNS.
He noted that in his capacity as Senior Vice President he reviews many letters and the letter described above was not one that he recalls.
