2) Entergy letter to NRC, "Change in Implementation Date for License Amendment Request, Amendment 197" (ML20083N719), dated March 23, 2020 In Reference 1, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved Amendment No. 197 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-47, for River Bend Station (RBS), Unit 1 which required changes to the RBS Emergency Plan to be implemented no later than May 13, 2020.

In Reference 2, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) requested an amendment to extend the RBS Emergency Plan implementation date to September 30, 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting impact on the station.

The purpose of this letter is to withdraw the license amendment request submitted by Entergy in Reference 2. This withdrawal request was discussed between Mr. Tim Schenk, Manager Regulatory Assurance RBS, and Mr. Thomas Wengert, NRC Project Manager for RBS on April 23, 2020. All changes required by Reference 1 will be implemented in accordance with the original timeline.
