Dear Mr. Keppler:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with notification of an Abnormal Occurrence as required by Technical Specification 6.6.S.I.a within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> of tha occurrence.
While doing routine Refueling Outage surveillance calibration of the HPCI Tur-bine Area High Temperature switches, seven of the sixteen switches tripped at temperatures in excess of the 1imiting condition for operation of f 200 F.
The switches were recalibrated and functior. ally tested with a new setpoint established at 185 F.
This occurrence was discussed by telephone with Mr. Feierabend of your of fice
'on January 9,1975. Further information will be.provided by Abnormal Occur-rence Report A0 50-265/75-4 which will be submitted within 10 days of the date of this occurrence.
