wall to the SWPS wall. Drill permits were in place at the wtrk aret.

penetration and hole locations were maintained 'within tne drill permit tolerances.

Tne drill permit procedure is being properly implemented.

r Tne Assessment Team completed a review of the MPOAD-Soils Document Control Station.

The purpose of the review was to verify that the crawing revisions released since the lifting of tne FCF./FC!! related 5 ct Work Orcer have been correctly posted.

Eased en the sample reviewed it is the Team's opinion that the documents are being properly costed.

A review was conducte: of 00 Inspection Report that had been closed-out curing the previous week.

Inese IRr covered suen items as expansion inchor installations, welding.: rack monitoring. instru-ent installations and cable terminations closed-out during tne previous week.

Tne review c0r. entrated on the coroleteness and accuracy of tne reports and the qualifications and certifications of the inspectors.

All tne inspection reports and inspector certifications were found to ce acceptable.

Tne Arsessment Team verified that the Contracter's Field Engineers and the Subcontractor's Field Engineers and Superintendents were trained to the site Document. Control procedures. _ Tnese individuals are assigned full-time to the specific work areas and.are responsible for ascuring the proper construction documents are ava21able and used.

Ir. addition, tne Team observed that -tne.Ouality Awareness sess Aon conducted by tne Subcontractor for craft personnel was devoted to a discussion of document control and distribution.

In tne Team's opinion,

The approach pit to pier E-16 has been completed.

Excavation of the-

pier began yesterday.

Fill concrete has been encountered while excavating the approach pit for CT-12.

Preparations are being made to start removing the fill concrete today.

A 6 in. drain line was encountered while excavating the drop pit to pier K-16.

As of today the differential movement measured at the WS grillage was 51 mils.
