20545 Gentlemen:
During recent conversations with Mr. R.
Engelken and your Mr. H. De nt on',
the writer learned that PARAMETER, Inc. was mentioned in connection with discussion of the Oyster Creek problem at the ANS meeting in Chicago.
To clarify our participation in the Chicago meetings, we would like to point out that we did riot. have any employees or consultants registered nor attend any of the formal sessions sponsored by ANS or AIF.
The writer did visit the Atom Fair exhibit during the afternoon and early evening of Monday, November 6th.
.I It is worthy of mention that I noted references to problems at Oyster being volunteered on two separate occasions.
Of further note is the fact that PARAMETER, Inc., was assisting the AEC in technical evaluation of the problem through Mr. J. Chyle.
Mr. Chyle's visits to Oyster Creek, Washington, and Combustion Engineering were not concealed and could have contributed to the association of Oyster Creek problems i
with PARAMETER.
We do not feel that we are responsible I
for disclosure of information and definitely did not participate in public discussion of the problem at Oyster Creek, in Chicago.

Attached for your information is a copy of a letter we received from our consultant, Parameter, Inc., denying responsibility for any dis-closure of information about the cracks found in the control rod stub tuber at Oyster Creek. This letter was prompted by our conversations with m. Lofy concerning the allegation reported to you by John C.
Ryan, CCM, on November 9, 1967.
We have found no reason for believing the allegation and are of the opinion that it is unfounded. However, we have not attempted to make a formal investigation since the name of the individual originating the allegation has not been made available to us.
If additional infor-mation becomes available, we will investigate further.
