Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 Docket flo. 50-334, License No. OPR-66 Revision 1 to Change Request No. 86 to Operating License Centlemen:

Enclosed are three (3) originals and thirty-seven (37) copies of Revision 1 to our Application No. 86 for Amendment to Operating License DPR-GG. Revision 1 involves clarification of the coincidence levels for the P-7, P-8, P-9 and P-10 pemissives previously submitted by Technical Specification Change Request No. 86, dated July 14, 1983.

The P-7, power range neutron flux coincidence has been revised from 2/4 to 3/4 and the turbine impulse chamber pressure coincidence has been revised from 1/2 to 2/2. The P-8, power range neutron flux coin-cidence has been revised from 2/4 to 3/4. The P-9, power range neutron flux coincidence has been revised frca 2/4 to 3/4. The P-10, power range neutron flux coincidence has been revised from 3/4 to 2/4.

The P-7, P-8 and P-9 pemissives are defined by the coincidence levels required to automatically block reactor trips when below the setpoint. The P-10 pemissive is defined by the coincidence level that allows the manual block of reactor trip when above the setpoint.

These changes are consistent with the system logics and the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) and more clearly define the coin-ciaence required for the applicable pemissive. No physical change is ,

being made to any plant equipment as a result of the above changes. The changes are being made to confom to the UFSAR format.

We have detemined that these changes provide clarification of an existing submittal, therefore, no change to the previous safety evaluation is required and no fee is required.
