EOF Compliance with NUREG 0696
REFERENCE:
PSC Letter, Brey to Eisenhut, dated June 30, 1981 (P-81178)
Dear Mr. Collins:
The purpose of this letter is to follow up on a telephone conversation with Mr. Phil Wagner regarding the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF).
The EOF is located approximately twelve (12) miles from the Technical Support Center (TSC) in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. The EOF is constructed of concrete block and steel.
In accordance with Table 2 of NUREG 0696, the EOF does not require protection factor considerations or ventilation protection because the facility is greater than ten (10) miles from the TSC. Table 2 of NUREG 0696 does not require a backup EOF due to the location of the primary EOF.
Public Service Company would intend,
- however, to utilize the Executive Command Post (ECP) as a backup if necessary.
