As requested by your letter dated March 1, 1991, CP&L has reviewed Brookhaven National Laboratory's (BNL) summary data regarding radioactive effluents released by the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP) for 1989. No corroctions are necessary for this report. CP&L understands that this summary data is to be used for inclusion in the BNL report of radioactive effluents released from commercial nuclear power plants during 1989 which is being prepared under contract with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Also, your letter requested that CPSL indicate whether volumes reported were before or after compaction when solid waste was shipped to a licensed waste proc-ssor for volume reduction. Please note that all volumes reported were after compaction.
