l 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 PRELIMINARY CHECKS - INITIAL EVENTS 5.1.1 The Radiation Protection Mgr (RPM), Health Dhysics Supervisor and Radiochemistry Supervisors shall develop events to simulate conditions of sufficient magnitude to implement emergency monitoring on site, off site or both.
5.2 TEST PROCEDURE - SCENARIO 5.2.1 The RPM shall coordinate the proposed scenario with the Station Manager, Acministrative/ Technical Services Manager and Manager, Quality Assurance, for date, time and extent of exercise.
He shall insure the scenario includes, at a minimum, the following:
a)
Statement of basic objectives.
b)
Date, time, place, and participants.
'c)
Simulated events.
d)
Time schedule of initiating events, e)
Narrative summary describing exercise particulars.

Provision for proper utilization of observers.

exercise. Approprate l
critique sheets shall be l
provided. During the exercise, the observers shall provide the sensory information necessary for the participants to effect actions appropriate to the exercise.
5.3.2 The RPM shall brief the appropriate observers on the emergency exercise.
5.4 TEST PROCEDURE - EMERGENCY EXERCISE EVALUATION 5.4.1 After completion of the exercise, the RPM and the Manager, Q. A.,shall compile and evaluate reports from observers. A final report, with recommendations to correct deficiencies, shall be submitted to the RPM by the Manager, Q. A.
5.4.2 Corrective actions to improve deficiencies shall be coordinated by the RPM, H. P.
Supervisor and Radio Chemistry Supervisor.
