Pursuant to a request by the NRC Hatch Licensing Project Manager, we offer the following information concerning the scheduled restart of Unit 2, which is currently in a refueling / maintenance outage. Startup is expected to occur between June 7 and June 14, 1983, assuming resolution of outstanding licensing issues. It should be recognized that certain unknowns still exist in this schedule, primarily due to the existence of pipe flaw indications (e.g., final evaluation and analyses of flaw indications are j incomplete).
The initial draft of the Technical Evaluation Report on the ongoing weld repairs is expected to be submitted on May 30, 1983. The final report will be submitted following completion of the weld overlay work.
