NOTES

1. The .75 in."and 1.5 in. conduit losses are derived using Method-1 of Ref. 4.
  • 2. This 4 in. conduit loss of Thermolag is derived 'by neglecting the 1/8 in. air gap.  ;
3. As stated in Introduction, the correct. value (K ) f knowool's  !

3 Thermal Conductivity is applied here.

i

4. Slight dif ferences between conduit losses here and those of def. 4 are due to adjustments of radius values.
5. The 2.5 in. conduit loss for Thermolag is calculated using ~

a 13/16 in, air gap.  !

l 2

6. h C = 1.307 Btu /Hy-Ft - F (Kaowool - Ref.1) h = 3 Btu /Hr-Ft *F (Thermolag - Ref. 4)
