- AEOD is conducting a study of " Natural Circulation" for all 'three Pk'R types.

On SeptenbeF 14, 1981 McGuire 1 experienced a safety injection and subsequer,t. -

natura,1dirculation event during the performance of Loss of Control Room test.N

The foll'owing additiona'l information is requested for McGuire 1 in order to

'f conduct our ongoing study on ~ natural circulation.

The data just prior to trip C

and up to.one hour following the event are requested.

Copies of strip charts of the following:

Feed flow Steam generator level

-- Steam generator pressure e-Condenser vacuum Prinary system temperature Thot Primary system temperature Tcol d wide and narrow range Primary systen temperature Tivg Pressurizer level and pressure Primary loop AT Copies of process computer printout just prior to reactor trip and for one.

hour following the event at the preset computer time interval.

Copies of operator's log for same interval indicated above listing sequence of events and actions taken by the operators.

An expeditious resolution of these items would be greatly appreciated.
