This letter transmits the report of NRC's routine safety inspection conducted.
, Mr. Elmo Collins for the period June'10,1990, through July 11,1990, at the
j Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The inspection consisted of observa-
tion of activities, document reviews, and personnel interviews. The enclosed
report documents the inspection results. Inspectors discussed the findings
with you and members of your staff after the inspection.

drive hydraulic system such that considerable maintenance and engineering
effort were necessary to correct control rod stroke times. I urge you to ,
carefully review the scope and schedule of your planned improvements in light '
