SUMMARY

MONTH: September 1993 Catawba Unit 1 began the month of September operating at 100% full power. The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 9/29 at 1546 when the unit experienced a reactor runback to 40% power -

following a feedwater pump trip. The unit started a power decrease at 2130 to take the unit off-line. The unit was off-line from 0110 to 1631 to repair the turbine electrical overspeed trip circuit. The unit was at 63% power and increasing load at the end of the month.
