NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

l MONTH: November 1993 McGuire Unit 1 began the month of November at 100% power. On 11/06/93 at 0220 the unit experienced a reactor / turbine trip due to an erroneous loss of load signal. Unit was placed on-line on 11/07/93 at 0435. The unit held at 20% power on 11/07/93 at 0550 for reactor coolant system chemistry evaluation.

Unit retumed to full power on 11/07/93 at 2205 and operated at or near 100% for the remainder of the month.

McGuire Unit 2 began the month of November operating at 100% full power.- On 11/07/93 at 0130 the -!'

- unit began power decrease to 87% power due to the failure of a main feedwater pump's steed control.

Unit was retumed to 100% power on 11/07/93 at 1915. Unit began power reduction to 15% power on ' i

! 11/11/93 at 1305 to repair leaking liquid waste recycle system valve.: The unit was at 15% power from l
