Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-219/90-09
This letter refers'to the routine safety inspection conducted by E. Collins for-
the period April 22, 1990, through June 9, 1990, at the Oyster Creek Nuclear
Generating Station. The inspection consisted of document reviews, personnel:
interviews and observations of activities. The enclosed report documents the-
inspection results. Inspectors discussed the findings with you and members of
your_ staff after the inspection.
Based on the results of this inspection, two of ;/our activities were not
conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set forth in the
enclosed Notice of Violations, You are required to respond to this letter and
in preparing your response you should follow the instructions in Appendix A.
We are particularly concerned about your failure to perform adequate radiation
surveys as shown by violation B. We urge you to :arafully identify and
correct any programmatic weaknesses that may have led to the violation.
This letter also acknowledges receipt of your response dated May 21, 1990,
addressing the violations noted in Inspection Report 50-219/90-06. These items
-will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program. 3
