EDO 0005195, 03/01/90, NMSS ACTION ITEM RESULTING FROM MEETING WITH MR. TERRY' LASH, ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF NUCLEAR SAFETY ON.02/14/90 I-have no corrections to the conclusions and agreements noted in Bert Davis' memo dated February 23, 1990.

has discussed the Allied Chemical company disposal request i
4 with Mr. England of IDNS.
A further discussion is scheduled in early April.
NMSS staff is preparing a Commission Policy Paper on the broader issue of the authority of Regional Compacts and of the NRC to approve on-site disposal under 20.302.
We will be coordinating this paper with GPA and other offices in the near future.
