Dear Ms. Hathaway:
This is in partial response to your letter dated June 17, 1982 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, five categories of documents regarding the Clinch River Breeder Reactor (CRBR).
Item 1:
NRC staff have advised this office that the documents listed on Appendix A are in the Public Document Room (PDR). The documents listed on Appendix B are being placed in the PDR in this F0IA file.
Item 2:
Since sodium is used as the heat transport nedium in both the primary and intermediate heat transport systems of the CRBR plant, most of the documentation on the CRBR plant is related either directly or indirectly to the use of sodium, e.g., the documents listed on Appendicies A and B.
Item 3:
See document (a) through (d) of Appendix A.
Item 4:
The documents listed on Appendix C are being placed in the PDR.
Item 5:
There have been no other FOIA requests for ir 'armation on the CRBR.
The NRC has not yet completed its review of documents subject to your request. We will respond as soon as the review is completed.
