Inspection Report Nos. 46-324/82-0Dnd 50-325/82-05
Thank you for your letters of April 30 and May 10, 1982, informing us of
steps you have taken to correct the violations and deviation concerning
activities under NRC Operating Licenses DPR-71 and DPR-62 brought to your
attention in our letter of March 31, 1982.
With respect to Violation C we have reviewed our position in light of your
response.
We accept your explanation that on September 9, 1981, no
maintenance was performed on the Main Steam Isolation Valves, rather, the
valves were merely cycled, and thus no maintenance records were generated.
Please note that corrective actions following unsatisfactory tests of
safety-related equipment should be documented.
We also understand you
acknowledge the other example of this violation in which records of Main
Steam Isolation Valve maintenance performed between August 29 and 31,1981
were not retained.
We will examine your corrective actions and plans, together with your
contention that violations A and B were isolated incidents, during suse-
quent inspections.
We appreciate your cooperation with us.
