related. programs. In this regard, specific guidance can be found in the Regulatory Guide 6.3 dated March 1974, entitled " Design, Construction,-

and use of Radioisotopic Fower Generators For certain Land and Sea Applications." Safety Analys&s of prototype (new) or modified RTG's should be performed by the NAVFAC Radiological Safety Committee against specifications set forth in the Guide No. 6.3 (enclosed) together with those specified in Item'C of the'NAVFAC Radiological Safety Cuide. The proposed NAVFAC Safety Guide should be so rodified.

We will be pleased to continua review of the NAVFAC application (Control No. 56635) upon receipt of the above information.
