Pressurizer Heaters. My position as reflected in my testimony is that opera-tio.n of the pressurizer heaters is not required to prevent or mitigate the

L 3.

I was not aware of the Memorandum from J. M. Allan NRC, Region I, to N. C. Moseley, October 16, 1979,

Subject:

Operations Team Recommendations -

g iE/TMI Unit 2 Investigation (Mart.in Report). However, I have examined the infonnation in the Martin Report cited by UCS relevant to the matters about which I testified at the hearing.

(Reconnendation C.I.C.4, "Pressuri-zer Heaters).

I have considered the Martin Report infonnation and reconnen-dations and find they do not affect my technical position as reflected in my testimony at the heering.

4.

Accordingly, my direct testimony on UCS Contention 3 would be unaffected by the Operations Team Reconnendations of the Martin Report.

The above statements are true and correct to the best of my personal know-ledge and belief.
