SUPPRESSION POOL TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS LICENSEE CONDITION 2.C.(5)

(TAC NO. 59608 AND 75198)

With the -issuance of the Fermi-2 Facility Operating License No.: NPT-43 Detroit Edison Company (Deco) was required to accomplish during the first refueling outage, all tasks described in its letter dated March 6,-1985, regarding the l

series of Safety Relief Valve (SRV) tests which will confirm the DECc l

methodology for measuring the suppression pool bulk temperature.

By letters dated October 20, 1989 and April 3, 1990 DECO provided the results of the SRV testing.

The staff performed a technical review relevant to meeting the objectives of the subject license condition.

Enclosed is the staff _ Safety Evaluation (SE).

Based on the enclosed SE the staff-finds-that DECO has satisfied each of the technical requirements of their March 6, 1985 letter which results in satisfying License Condition 2.C.(5).

This completes the staff action on TAC numbers 59608 and 75198.
