Dear Mr. Backus:
This letter is sent to acknowledge receipt of your petition dated that the Director of Nuclear Reactor February 5,1982, requesting 'show cause why Construction Permits Nos.
Regulation issue an order to CPPR-135 and CPPR-136 should'not be suspended or revoked because of an alleged lack of financial qualification of the Public Service Company of New Hampshire.

Your petition is being treated under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Comission's regulations and, accordingly, appropriate action will be taken on your petition within a reasonable time. A copy of the Notice that is being filed for publication with the Office of the Federal Register is enclosed for your information.
Although your petition asks that I institute a proceeding imediately, I decline to take such action until the staff has evaluated your petition l
and other relevant infomation to detemine whether the institution of a proceeding is appropriate.
Immediate action is not required because current construction or quality assurance practices on the project do notappeartobeseriouslydelficient.
