DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 OUTSTANDING RESPONSE ITEMS NUREG-0612 - CONTROL OF HEAVY LOADS POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 This is in response to your letter of February 1, 1982 which requested a schedule for submittal of the outstanding 4

information concerning our responses regarding NUREG-0612,

" Control of Heavy Loads at Nuclear Power Plants".

The attachment to this letter provides our expected schedule for the submittal of this information.

As you recognize, our six-month and nine-month reports have provided the substantial majority of the information requested by NUREG-0612.

We trust that the extended schedule for submission of the few items presently unavailable will not adversely affect your review effort.

The commitment dates in the attached schedule are l

dependent on a number of factors.

Of particular concern are j

the dates for the proposed submittal of information relating to the single failure proof handling system to be installed l

in the Point Beach auxiliary building (NRC question attachment i

1-1 through 1-3).

As stated in our nine-month response, sections j

2.3.1 through 2.3.3, this information cannot be completed until a vendor for this equipment has been selected and an order l

placed.

As noted in our previous submittals, our schedule for the installation of.this equipment calls for completion within two years of the date of our nine-month report.

Within this time frame, we are providing the attached estimates as to when j

the analyses requested in NRC question attachment 1-2 and 1-3 7

will become available.
