This refers to the routine safety inspection of activities under NRC Licenses

DPR-53 and DPR-69 by Mr. Ralph Architzel of this office on December 1,1981 -
January 5,1982 at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Lusby, Maryland.

That inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and records,
interviews, measurements, and observation of activities.
Findings were discussed
!
by Mr. Architzel with Mr. L. B. Russell of your staff at the end of the

inspection.
As set forth in Appendix A, it appears that your activities did not comply fully
I
with NRC requirements. The Violations have been categorized into the levels
described in Federal Register Notice 45 FR 66754 dated October 7, 1980. A
1
reply is required.
That reply is not subject to the clearance procedures of
f
the Office of Management and Budget under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980,
{
PL 96-511.
In preparing your reply, you should follow the instructions in
Appendix A.
