All analyses during the reporting period except the gross alpha'and (f

gross beta-gamma on air particulates for reporting dates July 1 - Octot er

,53 2,1973, were perfomed by Telodyne Isotopes, Inc., Westwood, New Jersey.

l W

The gross alpha and gross beta-gemma measurements during the above time g

period were done by Yankee Atomic Electric Company personnel, and reported 4

results are based on measurements made twenty-four hours after filters pi were collected.

.g During the period of this report, levds of plant relative radioactive v:

materials above background as determined-by the environmental monitoring

/A{

program do not indicate the 11kelihood of any public intakes or exposure in exces:: of 1% of those that could result from continuous exposure to the M

concentration values listed in Appendix B, Table II, Part 20 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. In addition, no statistically significant g

variation of offsite environmental concentrations with time were observed.

If any filter exceeds pCi/m3 gross beta, a gamma scan will be performed imr.icdiately.

Inmpics analyzed by Ge(Li) gamma spectroscopy as a monthly station composite for July, August, September.

r fsekly sampics analyzed by NsI gamma spectroscopy.

Nominal detection sensitivity 8 pCi at time of analysis, I

ictection limits as stated are per gram of ashed material.

The actual detection limits in pCi/gm (wet) will jary by a factor of 10-100, depending on the wot versus ash weight factor.
