Dear Mr. Brush:

l This is in reference to your letter dated September 2a,1979 requesting amendments to four of your export licenses'and Elaine Hemby's telephone conversation with you on October 111,1979. As Ms. Hemby mentioned to you, license amendments extending the expiration dates on three of the licenses were forwarded to you as enclosures to a letter dated October 9,1979.

In the letter I advised you that yourrrequest to i

increase the values of the equipment stated on these licenses did not l

require amendments.

i However, it is my understanding that the dollar value of the equipment in your licenses XCOM0219, XCOM0222, XCOM0225, and XCOM0228 has increased because the number of items to be exported under these licenses has increased. Since the quantity of items to be exported has increased, license amendments indicating the increased dollar. value must be issued.

Enclosed please find these license amendments covering the increased I

dollar values. Please disregard our letter of October 9,1979. We apologize for this misunderstanding.
