REVISION 3 TO THE FIRST TEN-YEAR INTERVAL INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM - RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NO. 69352)

By letter dated September 2,1988, as supplemented August 29, 1989 and revised January 25, 1990, Gulf States Utilities submitted Revision 3 to the First Ten. Year Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan for the River Bend Station, Unit No. 1.

Revision 2 was previously reviewed and evaluated by the NRC staff.

as-documented in letters dated October 20, 1987 and August 1, 1988. The NRC staff, with technical assistance from the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, reviewed and evaluated the changes to the program contained in Revision 3.

A copy of the staff's safety Evaluation is enclosed.

First Ten-Year Interval The staff concludes that the River Bend Station, Unit 1,ith the information Inservice Inspection Program Plan, through Revision 3, w provided and the specific written relief, constitutes the basis for conipliance with 10 CFR 50.55a(g) and the Technical Specifications and is therefore acceptable.

Table 1 of the enclosed Safety Evaluation presents a summary of the reliefs requested and the status of the requests as determined by the staff.
