Gray File Ue previously contacted members of your staff infomally to arrange a site visit at the Point Beach f;uclear Plant for two !!uclear Regulatory Commission (fiRC) personnel during the month of January 1983. This letter constitutes our fornal request.
The tuo flRC personnel are T. G. Colburn, Operating Reactors Project Manager for Point Beach Units 1 and 2, and M. Lamastra of the Radiological Assess-ment Branch.
The purpose of the visit is for Mr. Lamastra to discuss with the responsible licensee personnel the proposed ALARA and radiation training program to be conducted in preparation for and during the replacement of steam generator major components.(scheduled to begin.during the. Fall 1983 Unit 1 annual refueling. outage). This visit will also serve.as the Project Manager's..
semi-annual site visit. Mr. Colburn and I'r. Lamastra have an flRC Q-clearance.

He would. appreciate your coordinating the availability of the applicable plant staff to allow scheduling a one-day plant visit within the requested tine frame. The Project Manager will not be available January 17-19 but.
