Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Please consider this as a further clarification to our August 5, 1982 response to your RII: GFM 50-400/401/82-21. Our initial response failed to adequately address corrective action steps taken to avoid further noncompliances. Specifically, cer-tain sign off requirements in Work Procedure WP-105, Installation and Inspection of Equipment (Safety Related, Seismic Class 1 and Nonnuclear Safety), require additional clarification.
Additional corrective action will be taken as outlined below. Paragraph 4.10 will be expanded to ensure the responsibility of the mi11 wright superintendent is made more specific. The expansion of the paragraph will also include a description of what must be verified by the mi11 wright superintendent prior to his signature being placed on the traveler. Also, additional requirements will be incorporated in the procedure to cover reverification, as required, in cases where excessive time may have elapsed between the time work was performed and the time of sign off by the mi11 wright superintendent.
Full compliance will be achieved October 1, 1982.
