Dear Mr. Sunneier:

The Utah State Historic Preservation Office received the above referenced letter requesting comment.s regarding cultural and historical resources on September 9, 1999.

After review o teps considered by NRC and License condition 9.7 from SUA-1358, the Utah Preservation Ouice concurs with the conditions outlined to proceed with reclamation. Two items for consideration; the references contained in the condition form are outdated, and NRC may want to amended the condition document to reflect those changes, and there is potential for additional discovery of sites. The work completed in 1~80 found many sites, but with new understanding of sites in the area, there is potential that not all sites were located. There is no problem with the work at that time, I was one of two archaeologists who was in charge of the excavations, the client just needs to understand that the archaeological work is old.
