OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION - RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89-13. " SERVICE WATER SYSTEM PROBLEMS AFFECTING SAFETY-RELATED EQUIPMENT" (TAC NO. 74036)
By letter dated January 30, 1990 you submitted the first of two required res)onses to the subject generic letter. Noting that you have committed to eac1 of the five recommended actions of GL 89-13, or to an equally effective alternative course of action for one or more of them, we accept your response as fulfilling this requirement of the generic letter.
We remind you that if a licensee chooses a course of action different from the recommended actions of.the generic letter, the licensee should document and retain in appropriate plant records a justification that the heat removal requirements of the service water system are satisfied by use of the alternative program.
We look forwarded to receiving the second of (i.e. confirmation of action completion) of the two required response to GL 89 13.
