4 SUPPLEMENTAL SUBMITTAL ON NUREG-0737 ITEMS Gentlemen:
Georgia Power Company heroin submits additional information requested by NlEEG-0737 concerning compliance with various post-TMI plant modifications, analyses, and test programs.
Item II.B.1 - Reactor Coolant System Vents Our letters of October 19, 1979 and November 21, 1979 endorsed the BWR Owners Group position on this item.
That position stated that no further venting capacity was required to be installed.
Thus no plant modifications have been made.
Plant procedures will be provided to govern the operator's use of the relief valves for venting the reactor pressure vensel by January 1,1982 as requested by NUREG-0737.
Item II.D.1 - Safety Relief Valve Testing We are a participant in the BWR Owners Group Safety Relief Valve test program.
The testing phase of that program has been completed and preliminary results will be forwarded under a separate letter.
Item II.E.4.1 - Dedicated Hydrogen Control Penetrations Plant Hatch hydrogen control systems adequately address this concern and were found acceptable by the NRC staff as noted in Mr. Ippolito's letter of February 26, 1980.
Item II.E.4.2 Position 5 - Containment Pressure Setpoint Our December 31, 1980 submittal noted that no change of setpoint was necessary for the Plant Hatch containments.
No further action will be taken on this item.
Item II.E.4.2 Position 7 - Purge and Vent Valve Closure The BWR Owners Group has made a submittal evaluating Position 7 of Item II.E.4.2.
The conclusion of that report is that no further isolation signals are required to meet the intent of Item II.E.4.2.
Georgia Power Company endorses that evaluation and plans no further action in this regard.

.U. S. N elear Regulatory Commission July 1, 1981' Page Two item II.F.1.3 - Containment High-Range Radiation Monitor We are providing radiaticn monitors which are the best commercially available.
They are designed, according to vendor information, to meet Regulatory Guide 1.97.
However, the shielding factor of the instrument itself may -preclude an accuracy of twenty percent for. low energy L
radiation of interest (i.e., Xe 133).
This apparent deficiency has been previously discussed with the M C staff.
Item II.K.3.13 - Automatic Restart for RCIC Modifications as described in our December 31, 1980 letter are complete.
Item II.K.3.15 - HPCI & RCIC Break Detection Logic Modification Modifications as described in our December 31, 1980 letter are complete.
Item II.K.3.25 - Loss of AC Power on r p0-Seals u
The BWR Owners Group has made a suomittal evaluating the effect of a loss of alternating current power on pump seals (letter: BWROG-8142) which concludes that no safety concern exits and no design changes are recuired.
Georgia Power Company endorses that evaluation and plans no further action in this regard.
Item II.K.27 - Common Reference Lavel Our letter of June 9, 1981 addressed this item.
J.'T. Beckham, Jr. states that he is Vice President of Georgia Power Company and is authorized to execute this cath on behalf of Georgia Power Company, and that to the best of his knowledge and belief the facts set forth in this letter are true.
