Your letter dated December 29, 1982 requested Georgia Power Company to respond to six questions related to the BWR Owners Group SRV test program.
Our initial response dated April 4, 1983 stated that a supplemental report providing results of a dead weight analysis of Plant Hatch SRV discharge lines would be sent to you by July 29, 1983.
Subsequently, our architect-engineer has informed us that due to the differences in the piping geometry and boundary conditions, no one line can be identified as typical.
Therefore, it is concluded that unique analyses would have to be performed on all SRV discharge lines. This analysis is underway and anticipated to be completed by the end of 1983.
Consequently, we are revising our proposed submittal date to February 17, 1984.
If this revised date is unacceptable or if you have additional questions in this regard, please contact this office.
