ESCORTING OF UNATTENDED VISITING VEHICLES - REVIEW GUIDELINES !2 The recuirenent to escort visiting vehicles was included in !73.55 to ensure that an adequate prompt response would be undertaken if a vehicle were used as a weapon against a facility.

Escorting of an unattended, visiting vehicle is not needed if adequate alternative r.easures are taken to assure that the unattended vehicle cannot become such a we:pon.

Locking the unattended visiting vehicle and placing the keys in_the possession cf the security T5cce ls adequate"to provide assurance that the unattanded vehicle cannot beco}e} weapon.[
