APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company License Nos. 50-321/80-32 Hatch Nuclear Plant 50-366/80-32 Based on the NRC inspection June 5, 1980, certain of your activities were appar-ently not conducted in full compliance with hTC requirements as indicated below.
These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by 10 CFR 71.5, no licensee shall deliver licensed material to a carrier for transport unless the licensee complies with applicable regu-lations of the Department of Transportation in 49 CFR Part 170-189. 49 CFR 172.504 states that "each motor vehicle...must be placarded on each end and each side...".
Contrary to the above, on July 31, 1980, the licensee delivered low level radioactive material via the Home Transportation Company Trailer #003 (SSR
- 21693) to the Chem Nuclear burial site without a " Radioactive placard on the front of the trailer or on the front of the Tractor (#2-319).
.This is a Severity Level IV noncompliance.
