Identification and Description'of Occurrence:

Switch number one of pressure switch 3-PS-68-95 was found below the technical specification limit by 8% during the performance of SI 4.2.B-7.

Below the set-point the switch (r,!ves an operative signal to close the recirculation discharge i

valves.

Conditions' Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 at 98% power.

Unit 2 refueling Unit 3 at 85% power. -

Redundant switch in same channel and switches in r,edun' dant chanael were operable.

Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

Instrument drift.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no damage to the plut equipment. There was no activity release; no personnel exposure or injury; and no danger to the health or safety of the public.

Corrective Action

Recalibrated and functionally tested. The switch will be replaced by an analog system per DCR 1398.
