While performing S.I. 4.4. A.1 the breaker for standby liquid control pump B motor tripped when the pump was started.

Canditions' Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 @ 99%

Unit 2@ 0% refueling outage l-a Unit 3 @ 86%

Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

Equipment required by Technical Specification 4.4.B.1 was proven operable.

IE Bulletin 80-17 prompt report was made.

Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

Overcurrent tripping device on B phase was tripping at a lower value than other phases.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no damage to plant equipment. There was no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no danger to the health or safety of the public.
