O JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE
SUMMARY
OF OPERATIONS NOVEMBER, 1980 There was one Unit shutdown in the month of November.
The following safety-related maintenance was performed in November:
1.
Rebuilt #10 river water pump.
2.
Repaired lube oil strainer on 2B charging pump.
3.
Repaired Main Steam Isolation Valves.
4.
Began modification of Service Water Lube and Cooling piping.
5.
Repaired 3 Safety Injection check valves (seat leakage).
6.
Performed miscellaneous maintenance on Diesel Generators.
7.
Replaced fiber optics lamps on control room chlorine detectors.
8.
Began implementation of main control board modifications recommended as a result of human factors evaluation.
9.
Began implementation of NUREG-0578 requirements.

Reactor vessel head venting system.
b.
Auxiliary feed water flow indication to steam generators.
c.
High range containment radiation monitor.
d.
On-site Technical Support Center / operations Support Center.
e.
Containment pressure monitor.
f.
Backup air compressor for Turbine Driven AFW pumps.

Plant shielding review.
h.
Operation of Power Operated Relief Valves after containment isolation.
