This letter confims our oral authorization (telephone call from E. Novak and E. Conner, NRC to R. Ash ar
- A. Thornton, BG&E at 5:40 ppm on December 17,1980) to revise Technical Specification 3.6.2.1 for Calvert Cliffs, Unit No.1 in response to your telecopied request dated December 17,1980. The change involves the Cycle 5 operability requirements for the No.1 containment spray loop with total primary stress for design bases earthquake meeting the interim criteria.
The enclosure is a copy of the authorized change to be Amendment No. 49.
Our evaluation of this action will be forwarded in the near future.
