Gentlemen:

Our letter of April 2, 1979 requested a Technical Specification change which would restrict reactor building purging during operation to 90 hours0.00104 days <br />0.025 hours <br />1.488095e-4 weeks <br />3.4245e-5 months <br /> per year. At the request of Mr. Guy Vissing of your staff, and in accor-dance with previous commitments made to NRC by AP&L, we request that the April 2, 1979 request be changed to exclude purging during power opera-tion. The appropriate wording is attached to this letter.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22, AP&L has 6etermined this request to involve a single safety issue and therefore, is a Class III amendment requiring a

$4,000 remittance. A check for that amount was enclosed in our April 2, 1979 letter.
