APPENDIX A NOTICE OF V OLATION Georgia Power Company License No. NPF-5 Hatch Unit 2 Based on the NRC inspection July 15 - August 15, 1930, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as descy:ibed in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Technical Specification 3.3.1, a minimum of 2 operable chan-nels per trip system for the scram discharge volume high level trip in modes
-1 and 2 are to 'be operable. ' Technical Specification 3.0.4 requires that entry into an operational condition shall not be made unless Limiting Condi-tions for Operation of these instruments are met.
Contrary to the above, the reactor plant was taken to modes I and 2 with "A" and "D" scram discharge volume level switches inoperable subsequent to scrams on June 2, June 14, July 11, and July 26, 1980.
This is an infraction.
