SURVEILLANCE INTERVAL EXTENSION In your December 14, 1988 application, you stated that Preventive-Maintenance Procedures were under development for an annual main and connecting rod bearing inspection and an annual hydrostatic test of the jacket water and intercooler system. With respect to these preventive maintenance surveillances, please provide the following:

1.

The schedule for final approval of these preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, i

2.

A description of cny grace periods or extensions permitted for these two annual PM surveillances, and l

3.

Affirmation that these procedures were developed using the standards, and that they do in fact meet the standards, of your Procedures Upgrade Program.
