l RESPONSE TO OIE '^1PECTION REPORT 50-269, -270,

  • '/77-18 I

J ITEM:

Technical Specification 6.4.1 requires that written procedures with appropriate instructions shall be provided for preventive or corrective maintenance which could affect radiation exposure to personnel.

Contrary to the above, procedure IP/0/A/360/lC, RIA-45 Vent Gas Monitor Low, specified an alarm setpoint higher than the alarm setpoint specified in PT/0/A/230/01, Radiation Monitor Check.

RESPONSE

All radiation monitoring procedures had previously been reviewed for references to setpoint alarms and these were revised to delete these references. The instance identified in the inspection report had apparently been an oversight.

Procedure IP/0/A/360/lc has been revised to delete reference to a specific setpoint.

Additionally, two independent reviews have been made of all radiation monitoring calibration procedures to confirm that all references to setting alarms and trips have been deleted.
