Oconee 1, to determine if DPC knew of the possibility of problems

Description of Particular Event or Circumstances:
During recent manufacturic.g testing,19 of h0 CRD's of the type used
at Oconee vere found to have indications of discontinuity on the
inside surface of the stainless steel motor tube upper extensions.
Smith stated that DPC had been advised of this by B&W approximately
two to three weeks ago.
C.
Action By Licensee:
DPC is returning all CRD's to Die =ond Power Specialty Company for
inspection and, if necessary, repair.
