Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In reference to our initial response to IE Inspection Report 50-324/80-10 and 50-

325/80-11 dated May 12, 1980, and a subsequant telephone conversation on May 22,

1980, between Mr. W.11. Miller, Jr. of your of fice and Mr. A. C. Tollison, Jr. ,

General Manager, Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, the following additional infor-

mation is being provided:

A procedure is being developed and will be iaplemented by July 1, 1980, to assure

that all procedures, except periodic tests with a periodicity of monthly or

greater, concerning newly installed valves covered under Technical Specification 4.7.7.1.lc are revised to reflect those valves sithin two weeks of their being

declared operational. All periodic tests with a periodicity of monthly or greater

will be revised to reflect those valves prior to their first required performance

following the two week revision period.
